PROTEC - Shop Visit

PROTEC is an S20 and high performance Hakosuka specialist located in Yokohama. The shop is tucked in a little alleyway surrounded by residential housing and if you are not paying attention, it is very easy to miss it. 

Sodemoto san is the boss and throughout my time knowing him, has always been welcoming and is a boundless source of information about the KGC10 and KPGC10 Nissan Skyline.

Today we stopped by because a British client is ordering their top of the line Aragosta 3-way coilovers with reservoir tanks for his Hakosuka project. I sourced a used set of front KGC10 Struts, since these are needed as cores for the suspension, and brought them to PROTEC for the work to be completed. 

There are not many places in the world that have multiple Hakosuka GTRs and S20 Engines laying about and waiting for repair. Sodemoto san is the man PAMS has turned to for advising about their new S20 Head currently being developed. 

The PROTEC catalog has a variety of drool worthy parts from Big Brake kits and Titanium Exhaust Manifolds to S20 Stroker kits and Aragosta Coilover kits. While their focus is Hakosuka, they do also work on Fairlady Zs as well.

In the shop, there were a few Hakosuka having routine maintenance completed and the Fairlady Z S31 in front of the shop appeared to be mid restoration.
