This is a Rear Frame Rail for a Datsun 260Z or 280Z.
The rear frame rails for later 260Zs and 280Zs are a completely different shape when compared to 240Zs.
Not only are the 260Z/280Z rails longer (reaching further to the rear of the car) but they also have more height (the bottom of the rails is lower to the ground) compare to the 240Z units.
These parts are created by 3d Scanning factory items before machining steel dies/presses and stamping. These parts save you having to pay expensive body shops to make the panels by hand.
With these parts, you can significantly reduce the effort and time required for sheet metal work, and it will be a shortcut to restoring your beloved car to it's original glory.
